Cob has so many advantages, we'll list just a few:

• its huge thermal mass keeps the inside of your building cool when it's hot outside and, with a passive solar design and a heat source, warm inside when it's cold outside;
• it is insect-, rodent-, fire-, and earthquake* proof;
• It is much faster to finish than any other construction method: at most two layers of plaster and an optional coat of paint...no mouldings, no sheet rock, no layers of plastic, no siding...;
  
• it breathes naturally so you can, too.  There are no worries about sick building syndrome or feeling light-headed from lack of air;
  
• it will last hundreds of years...3, 4, 5 century old buildings exist;
  
• and it is much cheaper to build per square foot than any other construction technique available today.
  

* a test cob building was able to withstand 9.0 on the Richter scale for 20 seconds without collapsing.  The same building easily endured 7.2 with minimal cracking.  Every building and situation is different so no guarantees are being made, neither expressly nor implied.

Our Technique is the Key to Our Speed
We use Production Cob to build your structures, which is another step up in speed from Fast Cob! which already is 30x faster than "traditional west coast" cob.

Two people can build and finish a 400 sq.ft. cottage from scratch in a month.  A 1000 sq.ft. split level house can be built to lock-up in four months.  A bench and oven can be built and finished in a weekend.
It's that fast.
